Check frequently asked questions about Foreign exchange
Well, i met him one rainy day in the library of the university we were studying.. We fell in adore, but 2 years later i had to go back to my country (because i was a foreign student there) so we had to break up. We were exchanging emails, calling 2 each other twice a week, but it got to the point that it was really difficult for me to keep ''talking to him'' so asked him to cease contacting me because maybe that would be for the best thing for both of us.. Now, 5 years later we found each other accidentally on facebook and every the feelings we had for each other came back.. He's coming to visit me in my country in a few weeks and he wants to receive back together.. Our biggest problem though is our religion. He's a muslim and i'm christian. To be honest i'm thinking of moving to his country to be with him, but i don't want to change my religion. If everything goes well, i want to marry but i won't be able to do that if our religions are different.. We haven't really talked about it, coz i'm not sure if it's too early to talk about it... I don't want to ask him to change his religion for me but... I'm so confused.. He's the only man i really fell in adore with.. And it seems that the only man i really want is the man that i can't really have... :(
What's an average day like for a teenager? Are most parents strict or lenient? Do most go out, or stay in? I'm planning on foreign exchanging and am seriously considering Russia, but I have no idea what it's like for a teen there.
I met my best pal In high school; he was a foreign exchange student from Germany. Our friendship progressed overtime and we were inseparable and has the utmost adore and passion towards eachother (note Im a girl and he's a guy). Him leaving Germany was handsdown the hardest thing we both had to overcome and deal with. We promised eachother that we would talk to eachother everyday even if it's for five minutes and next summer I am for a fact going to Germany. Anyways, every of a sudden, he stopped talking to me, he hasn't made a effort to skype me, or anything. I even sent him down my bracelet that I've been wearing for five years and he didn't even say thank you or anything. This is ruining our friendship in everyday and the adore that I once had for him is just dying. I even messages him telling him about this problem, yet he won't respond. What should I do? I don't want to lose my best pal. Thanks
OBAMA truth REVEALED - Received by mail Posted on July 28th, 2010 by David-Crockett This is an interesting story, put together from various articles and TV shows, by the British Times paper.OBAMA truth REVEALED It shows what Obama and his friends are really every about. It’s not wish and change, it is money. I warn you, the first part is a little boring, but stick with it. The second part connects every the dots for you (it will open your eyes). The end explains how Obama and every his cronies will end up as multi-billionaires. A tiny bank in Chicago called SHOREBANK almost went bankrupt during the recession. The bank made a profit on its foreign micro-loans (look below), but had lost money in sub-prime mortgages in the US. It was facing likely closure by federal regulators. However, because the bank’s executives were well connected with members of the Obama Administration, a private rescue bailout was arranged. The bank’s employees had donated money to Obama’s Senate campaign. In other words, ShoreBank was too politically connected to be allowed to go below. ShoreBank survived and invested in many “green” businesses such as solar panel manufacturing. In fact, the bank was mentioned in one of Obama’s speeches during his election campaign because it subjected new business borrowers to eco-litmus tests. Prior to becoming President, Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, a liberal charity. This foundation was originally established by Joyce Kean’s family, which had accumulated millions of dollars in the lumber industry. It mostly gave funds to hospitals. But after her death in 1972, the foundation was taken over by radical environmentalists and social justice extremists. This JOYCE FOUNDATION, which is rumored to have assets of 8 billion dollars, has now set up and funded, with a few partners, something called the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE, known as CXX. It will be the exchange (like the Chicago Grain Futures Market for agriculture) where Environmental Carbon Credits are traded. below Obama’s new bill, businesses in the future will be assessed a tax on how much CO2 they produce, (their Carbon Footprint) or in other words how much they add to global warming. If a company produces less CO2 than their allotted measured limit, they earn a Carbon Credit. This Carbon Credit can be traded on the CXX exchange. Another company, which has gone over their CO2 limit, can buy the Credit and “reduce” their footprint and tax liability. It will be like trading shares on Wall road. Well, it was the same JOYCE FOUNDATION, along with some other private partners and Wall road firms, that funded the bailout of ShoreBank. The foundation is now one of the major shareholders. The bank has now been designated to be the “banking arm” of the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE (CXX). In addition, Goldman Sachs has been contracted to run the investment trading floor of the exchange. So far so good; now the INTERESTING parts… One ShoreBank co-founder, named Jan Piercy, was a Wellesley College roommate of Hillary Clinton. Hillary and Bill Clinton have long supported the bank and are tiny investors. Another co-founder of Shorebank, named Mary Houghton, was a pal of Obama’s tardy mom. Obama’s mom worked on foreign MICRO-LOANS for the Ford Foundation. She worked for the foundation with a guy called Geithner. Yes, you guessed it. This man was the dad of Tim Geithner, our gift Treasury Secretary, who failed to pay every his taxes for two years. Another founder of ShoreBank was Ronald Grzywinski, a cohort and close pal of Jimmy Carter. The former ShoreBank Vice Chairman was a man called Bob Nash. He was the deputy campaign manager of Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid. He also sat on the board of the Chicago Law School with Obama and Bill Ayers, the former terrorist. Nash was also a member of Obama’s White home transition team. (To run your memories, Bill Ayers is a Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He founded the Weather Underground, a radical revolutionary group that bombed buildings in the 60s and 70s. He had no remorse for those who were killed, escaped jail on a technicality, and is still an admitted Marxist). When Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, he “funneled” thousands of charity dollars to a guy named John Ayers, who runs a dubious education fund. Yes, you guessed it. The brother of Bill Ayers, the terrorist. Howard Stanback is a board member of Shorebank. He is a former board chairman of the Woods Foundation. Obama and Bill Ayers, the terrorist, also sat on the board of the Woods Foundation. Stanback was formerly employed by New Kenwood Inc., a real estate development company, co-owned by Tony Rezko. (You will remember that Tony Rezko was the guy who gave Obama an amazing sweet deal on his new home. OBAMA truth REVEALEDYears OBAMA truth REVEALEDYears prior to this, the law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland had represented Rezko’s company and helped him receive more than 43 million dollars in government funding. Guess who worked as a lawyer at the firm at the time. Yes, Barack Obama). Adele Simmons, the Director of ShoreBank, is a close pal of Valerie Jarrett, a White home senior advisor to Obama. Simmons and Jarrett also sit on the board of a dubious Chicago Civic Organization. Van Jones sits on the board of ShoreBank and is one the marketing directors for “green” projects. He also holds a senior advisor position for black studies at Princeton University. You will remember that Mr. Van Jones was appointed by Obama in 2009 to be a Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White home. He was forced to resign over past political activities, including the fact that he is a Marxist. Al Gore was one of the smaller partners to originally help fund the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE. He also founded a company called Generation Investment Management (GIM) and registered it in London, England. GIM has close links to the UK-based Climate Exchange PLC, a holding company listed on the London Stock Exchange. This company trades Carbon Credits in Europe (just like CXX will do here) and its floor is run by Goldman Sachs. Along with Gore, the other co-founder of GIM is Hank Paulson, the former US Treasury Secretary and former CEO of Goldman Sachs. His wife, Wendy, graduated from and is presently a Trustee of Wellesley College. Yes, the same college that Hillary Clinton and Jan Piercy, a co-founder of Shorebank attended. (They are every friends.) Interesting? And now the closing… Because many studies have been exposed as scientific nonsense, people are slowly realizing that man-made global warming is nothing more than a money-generating hoax. As a result, Obama is working feverishly to win the race. He aims to push a Cap-and-Trade Carbon Tax Bill through Congress and into law. Obama knows he must receive this passed before he loses his majority in Congress in the November elections. Apart from Climate Change he will “sell” this bill to the public as generating tax revenue to reduce our debt. But, it will also make it impossible for US companies to compete in world markets and drastically increase unemployment. In addition, energy prices (home utility rates) will sky rocket. But, here’s the KICKER (THE MONEY TRAIL). If the bill passes, it is estimated that over 10 TRILLION dollars each year will be traded on the CXX exchange. At a commission rate of only 4 percent, the exchange would earn close to 400 billion dollars to split between its owners, every Obama cronies. At a 2 percent rate, Goldman Sachs would also rake in 200 billion dollars each year. But don’t forget SHOREBANK. With 10 trillion dollars flowing though its ccounts, the bank will earn close to 40 billion dollars in interest each year for its owners (more Obama cronies), without even breaking a sweat. It is estimated Al Gore will probably rake in 15 billion dollars, just in the first year. Of course, Obama’s “commissions” will be held in trust for him at the Joyce Foundation. They are estimated to be over 8 billion dollars by the time he leaves office in 2013, if the bill passes this year. Of course, these commissions will continue to be paid for the relax of his life. Some financial experts think this will be the largest “scam” or “legal heist” in world history. Obama’s cronies make the Mafia look like rank amateurs. They will make Bernie Madoff’s fraud look like penny ante stuff.

I've heard of the mail order bride thing, but I want to do something different. I have no desire to receive married, but I seriously need to make some money (and alot of it). So, I have seriously thought about and now am ready to act on it. I want to marry a foreign lady who wants american citizenship, and whose family will pay me $50,000 or more. There's nothing in it for me, except the money. For the lady, and her family, there is everything to gain. So how would I go about advertising myself in foreign countries to attract the attention of wealthy women and their families who will pay to marry me? Is their a "Pay me and you can marry me and receive american citizenship eventually" web site? Also, I'm 30 and gay (meaning i'm into dudes), so it's not like i'm looking for sex (lol). My 'wife' and I would be sorta like roommates. @MNJ - Of course it's illegal (LOL), but I'd be doing a humanitarian service by marrying and giving american citizenship to a foreign lady.
for advertising without a license
i need to know asap. its a misdemeanor for advertising without a license. how dumb probation from the advertising with out license.

My Situation: I'm 17 years old and I've struggled with issues with my mom and our relationship since I was about 13. Only recently (within the past 6 months) have I found myself spending most of my time thinking and talking about how much I despise her. After being screamed at for forgetting to put my dishes away, I just couldn't keep myself from crying anymore. I'm screamed at so much by her that I've always been used to it. For you to receive a feel of my mom, my dad, friends, friends parents, boyfriend, boyfriends parents, brother, and foreign exchange student every feel bad for me. Before, I didn't care when she screamed; I even learned to tune her out because I have such little respect for her. I've tried to tell her how I feel, but she only cries and guilts me into feeling like the bad guy. It's almost as if 90% of me thinks she is so psycho and hurtful and that other 10% is the doubt she's placed in me that maybe I am a bad child a lot and most of our issues may be my fault. After finally cracking with her and while trying to hold back tears, I texted her (because she had just left the home after a big battle about how I'm a disrespectful ***** in front of my boyfriend) saying that I want to look a therapist and she said fine and that we'll talk about it later. What I want to know: Is this a valid reason to go to therapy? That I hate my mom? I wanted to go to a session alone, maybe, at first and then go with my mom. Is that a good idea? I feel as if she needs the therapy more than I do to really help the situation... Should I be honest with my mom about the reasons I want to look a therapist? If so, how should I tell her without killing her inside. I do feel adore for her because she is my mom, but I do also despise her. If I shouldn't initially tell her the complete truth, what could I maybe say to receive around telling her the whole truth? What should I do before I go to my first session (alone) to prepare? I thought it would be a good idea for me to take notes to bring with, simply because I'm so overwhelmed by how many things I can bring up about my mom that it's very difficult for me to gather my thoughts. Should I do this and bring it along to therapy? Another thing about my mom is that she doesn't contribute to the household. Everything done in the home is divided to me, my older brother, and my dad. My boyfriend proposed the idea of making a chart of the family members and how each contributes to the household. Is this a good idea? If I made the chart from my possess perspective, her column would be blank. When my brother would challenge her by saying she doesn't do anything she would say that she watches us (works at home), makes dinner, does a lot of laundry, cleans the kitchen, and that's about it. Now, she can't say any of these. We don't need watching anymore (17 and 19). We don't have family dinners, and on the rare, once a week occasion that we do, its someone else cooking the food. She also leaves her dish for us to put away after, along with every of the relax of the dishes. Everyone in the household now does their possess laundry so she can't use that. And finally, everyone keeps the kitchen straightened. By putting their folded laundry away, taking out recycling, etc. The longest it takes me to clean the kitchen is five minutes, so when she does it occasionally, it takes no significant time. Should I let her fill out her chart from her possess perspective? Should I nix the idea altogether? And again, would this be okay to bring with? What do I say to the therapist upon scheduling an appointment? How do sessions generally go? How will he/she initiate the conversation? Any feedback at every is greatly appreciated. Sorry if I ranted more than I should have.
So, for the past few years of my life I've tried to be a very independent person and I really developed a solid track on where I want to go life (I'm currently 17). I planned out what I wanted to do with my future and what my goals were. Since last July I was planning a short summer foreign exchange trip to Japan. I raised money, studied Japanese independently, organized everything, and worked really difficult. I was so excited and felt completely comfortable going. It was only 6 weeks after every. In college I decided I wanted to attend school abroad as well. However, I left for my trip and about a week in a started becoming really homesick, but I tried to push my self because everyone told me that was normal and it would pass. But mine didn't. I was miserable for no reason at every. I had good friends there, I got to look so many great things, I had a dog and a cat to play with, and I would spend time with my host family every now and then...and yet I still felt so alone. I would have anxiety attacks and would sob every the time. I would pretend to be glad so people wouldn't think I was pathetic, and then I would run to the bathroom and sob it every out. I longed to receive home to I could e-mail and call my family. I couldn't understand why I was like this when everyone was having so much fun around me. I finally realized I couldn't handle it and arranged an early return after about 2 1/2 weeks in Japan. Now that I'm back my world is falling to pieces. Before I felt so courageous and strong, like I knew what I wanted in life. Now I feel broken and unsure of what I can handle. I'm afraid of going to far away for college because of getting homesick, and I'm afraid of going abroad again for a long period of time even though my dream is to travel the world. I'm so depressed and stressed out because I've completely lost my sense of direction and I feel so pathetic and weak because I couldn't handle it. Nothing turned out like I expected at every and now I feel so worthless. What is wrong with me? :(
Cap and Trade was dropped because it was included in H.R.4173 Wall road Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Also, other nations will have a say on how we run our nation when it comes to carbon regulation and we must share info with them. i really want to be a foreign exchange student & study abroad in japan for a year or so. i want to experience the wealthy culture & eat delicious food. hahaha. i just find japan to be so intriguing, i've been wanting to go to japan since i was like in elementary school. i was wondering what it usually takes to attend a high school in japan, especially for foreign exchange students. do you need to talk, read & write fluently? also, what's daily life like in school? what're the kids like?
NOW, does anyone wonder why we question the democratic party and the liberal leadership? Here: 1. Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) is afraid that the U.S. Territory of Guam is going to "tip over and capsize" due to overpopulation. Johnson expressed his worries during a home Armed Services Committee hearing on the defense budget Thursday. Addressing Adm. Robert Willard, who commands the Navy's Pacific Fleet, Johnson made a tippy motion with his hands and said sternly, "My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize." Willard paused and said: "We don't anticipate that." http://washingtonscene.thehill.com/in-the-know/36-news/3169-rep-hank-johnson-guam-could-tip-over-and-capsize 2. County Supervisor Who Supports Boycott Doesn’t Know Arizona Borders Mexico When going every out in opposition to something, it’s best to always have your facts straight. It’s a lesson that would have well served Wisconsin County Supervisor Democrat Peggy West, who has arrive out strong against the Arizona illegal immigration law claiming that it doesn’t make sense for Arizona to be so agitated about illegal immigration. It’s not Arizona is like “Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico.” West was commenting in support of a boycott of the state. Her main argument was that the law went to extreme measures to combat an issue that, it appears, she didn’t look as too much of a big deal http://www.mediaite.com/tv/county-supervisor-who-supports-boycott-doesnt-know-arizona-borders-mexico/ 3. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat from Texas, raised some eyebrows yesterday with remarks she made referring to "two Vietnams." "I stand here asking us to do what we did not in do in Vietnam, was to recognize the valiant and outstanding service of our men and women," Jackson Lee said on the home floor yesterday, "and to understand that victory had been achieved." She continued, "Today, we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with every that North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace. I would look for a better human rights record for North Vietnam, but they are living side by side." Jackson Lee is a senior member of the home Foreign Affairs Committee http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20010824-503544.html GWB light: every of this, to your chagrin is still true!!!
Were can I register myself to receive recruited/scouted by colleges? There is the one page fastweb.com but it is Just for americans student. I am from germany so I am a foreign exchange student who wants to go to college in the usa. So Im looking and hopefully can find with your help a page where I can announce myself :-) thank you nino
Our foreign exchange student is coming from Germany and I want to greet him with a sign welcoming him, but I can't remember how to write it properly.
I have a box full of foreign coins from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, and France. Is there anywhere I can exchange these for US dollars? I do not think I'll be traveling to these places for a long while.
I was watching the movie Cashback and the narrator asserted that because his family's foreign exchange student was Swedish, she had no problem walking from the shower to the bedroom in the raw in front of the family. Is that a true generalization of Swedish people?
I recently went to New York on a school trip, and met a girl that I found out liked me, mainly because she kissed me in the middle of a hotel hallway. We both decided to receive to know each other better, and kept in constant touch. But neither of us moved forward in the relationship. Then I noticed a pal of mine was spending a lot of time with her and doing things such as going over to her home and going out to eat with her family and they both started talking every lovey-dovey on facebook. (I know because they would post it in comments, I am no stalker.) Then, when I finally got up the gall to ask her out, she started to completely ignore me, barely talking to me, and wouldn't even hardly look at me or acknowledge me. She eventually deleted me off of her friends list on facebook, so I readded her and sent her a message explaining why I hadn't talked to her that much lately (I was moving at the time), and then she completely blocked me. I talked to my pal who had had every the lovey-dovey talks with her, and I told him to talk to her for me, which I don't think he did. Then I had another pal send her a message to which she never replied. I would like to receive over her, but every time I try I keep thinking of how it was in New York. Also, on the way back from New York a pal found out what happened between the two of us (I told him, because I knew he liked her) and he seemed mad at me though he had a girlfriend at the time, thus making me pretty mad at him, which lasted until she stopped talking to me, and the pal that had the conversations with her had a slight crush on her, but he knew how much I liked her, and he knew he was going back home soon anyway (he was a foreign exchange student). So any suggestions of why she probably stopped talking to me and ways for me to move on would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have a 3.97 (because I got a B+ in Algebra I which I took in 7th grade for high school credit but since it's for credit it counts towards my GPA) GPA but am only a freshman so I wish with AP classes I will lift it up to a 4.0 (if that's possible). I am in Tennis in the fall and Lacrosse in the Spring. But I am not very athletic so the best I could wish for is JV in either one of those. In the Winter I was thinking about doing either newspaper, debate or volunteering (what would you recommend for being more well-rounded?). Out of every those I think I would like newspaper or volunteering more but I am not the best writer, but it would help me improve my writing skills. I'm from a single parent household and we've always been in the lower class until about a week or two ago when my mom got a new job. Oh, and I am currently trying to keep money up to be a foreign exchange student in Spain to become more fluent in Spanish. Also, I am going to work in the summer part time and volunteer. I think I plan on taking about 7 AP classes total? And I take every the advanced classes I can, no slacker classes! Oh yeah! And I'm going to be involved in Student Council. Sorry for how long this is, I just want to make sure you know everything. Thank you! :) About the B+... I was just starting in a new school that was way better then mine plus it was a ninth grade class when I was in 7th so that means I don't have basic math skills? Let's look you take that class in my situation.
I'm drafting a letter to a semi-local (about an hour away) newspaper. I intend on asking for their financial support for a summer long study abroad program in Japan, and in exchange I would offer to be a foreign correspondent. I'm an upcoming Junior, however I have taken a college course (not AP, it was an actual course on their campus) for Journalism. Being a foreign correspondant would benefit them by: being able to receive unbiased opinions on major happenings in America from Japan's locals, target those who are interested in moving to a foreign country (or are simply interested in different cultures), as well as bring attention to the paper for having an uncommon article. How should I start my e-mail? I don't want to say 'hey, I'm ____.' Oh, that wasn't what I plan on sending! That was just a quick overview of some of the topics I planned on mentioning.
Actually, I think everyone uses it except for America, which p!sses me off. I'm going to Japan as a foreign exchange student, and I would really like to learn it! Our school doesn't tutor us it, nor celsius... Which everyone else uses :\ And yes, I know Japan is an Asian country :) To "himself" How am I supposed to use it if I don 't know it? Please use your brain, I'm begging you.
I'm 14 and I want to become a foreign exchange student. In order to pay for it i have to make $8,000. I want to know how many hours a week I can work legally in California. Any help would be great. (And I know I need a workers allow.) Please help.

Hello, my name is Brennan, and in the Fall I will be going into my sophomore year of highschool. I want to spend my junior year in France, but I am very concerned about how this will affect my grades and class rank. As of now, I am 2 of 143, and I receive straight A's. Of course, when the school year starts, I need to work every kinds of stuff out with my guidance counselor about how I will receive credit for classes I will take during my year abroad. However, I am curious as to which colleges some past students have attended. My dream school is New York University; I'm not sure that I would want to jeopordize my chances of getting into this school by going on a foreign exchange program. (Also, it would be helpful if you could tell me which program and country you used and went to)

I'm very interested in spending my senior year of high school in Japan. I'm about to start my Junior year now, so hopefully I'll have saved up some money by then. Anyways, how would I go about getting the opportunity to become a foreign exchange student, living with a host family? Would they already know a fair amount of English, or should I start studying 24/7? If you're familiar with how much it would cost for a plane+other expenses, let me know. **Oh, I live in North Carolina if that helps at every. Oh, I'm also not sure what area I would want to be going to. I'd like somewhere heavily populated, like Tokyo. But I'm also in adore with the gardens and hot springs?
